Noboru gasket sets - use or bin?

Post by Gr8uncleal »

I acquired a complete set of new Noboru gaskets with some other GT550 parts. I shall be needing some new gaskets, but my first instinct is to chuck these and buy Suzuki originals.

Has anyone ever used gaskets by Noboru? If they have, how did they perform?

Thanks.

Hi, I bought aftermarket head gasket for the GT 750A,leaked water like a sieve
I think it pays to Buy Suzuki Genuine Parts,in this situation  8-)
Cheers.

Never had a problem with aftermarket gaskets. When stuck with a leaky gasket, guys used to make them from cardboard boxes or stiff paper and they usually held.

I'm pretty sure that Suzuki used to buy their gaskets from an outside specialist supplier. I see no point in paying the extra markup. If you have them use them.

I'd second that. Never had a problem with Athena, Cruzinimage etc., generic gaskets. 8-)
