It was nice to see you all again up at Jurby, next year we will need to make it a longer catch up. I say the ferry crossings on Friday and Saturday were horrendous and bikes were like skittles all over the deck, I say a picture of a nice red kettle on its side unfortunately. I also believe but not 100% sure steam packet do not accept liability in rough seas for damage. I do hope that is not the case.

I was on the Saturday morning crossing on the Ben to Heysham. It's the roughest crossing for donkeys years. Saw the fallen bikes as I was getting off. Also saw what looked like a Steam Packet employee looking over the mess. My 2 ton Land Rover had moved sideways on the top deck. Felt sorry for the bike owners coming down the stairs to see that.

Does that kettle belong to anyone on here ? I was over there last week and saw a fair few kettles and knew who most of them belonged to but don't remember seeing that particular one .

So much for the poxy bit of rope they use to strap them down. I would think that makes it 'their fault'.

Its absolutely ridiculous they have proper wheel cradles for bikes but I have never seen them used, steam packet has issued a statement saying a "few" bikes were damaged and they are dealing directly with the owners. I have just heard there are four owners saying on Facebook that nobody has contacted them. I am not the slightest bit suprised the company is a total sham.
