Exhaust rubber mount - question

Post by Oldbeancanopener »

I've done a search on this and found some useful information so far.

My understanding is that the exhausts "float" on the rear rubber mount. That is, the exhausts themselves shouldn't touch the main frame.

Is there a washer or series of washers that fit between the rubber bush and the exhausts to maintain this clearance or should it all be a function of the bush itself?

Regards

Bill

Thanks guys.

Mick, the link was useful but Baz's video clip is absolutely clear and confirms to me that the exhausts should be rubber mounted and not contact the frame.

I'll slot a washer in the right place to ensure this happens.

Thanks again

Origonally the bush actually was proud out of the frame taking away the need for a washer

They must get pushed back or worn down over time. I nipped into the garage yesterday and slotted a washer in place as described by Baz. Works a treat.
