Suzuki GT250

Post by Dazel »

Curious to see if my first bike is still around. GT250L reg BWB 2M.

Know my 1976 GT550A is no longer around as someone borrowed it without asking and demolished it.

Cheers Dave.

Thanks for the quick reply Mike. It is a bit sad, as was hoping at least one of my GTs had made it to an old age.
Wish I could remember reg of my 550, but strong rumour was it had been demolished at the time of it being borrowed back in 85.
Cheers Dave.

Your instincts are spot on MD. Couldn't afford a new kettle at over a grand back in 76 so went for the 550 at £739. Still remember as clear as day when I first drove off from the dealer. It was fantastic. A mate of mine on here has been tormenting me coming to our house on his GTs so had to do something about it. Got a 750K in the post, bit non standard but hope its as good as it looks in the photos. Comes with rasping pipes, which I like, but also comes with 95% of the standard pipes so I can consider a refurb and switch in the future. Going to keep it quiet from my mate, for a while anyway.
Had a VFR750 and a Pan Euro over the last few years, which are now gone as they didn't really re-kindle my interest.

Cheers Dave.
