Sheared Bolts can anyone assist please

Post by Ratsville »

Good afternoon all.

I've a couple of broken off M6 bolts that need removing. There's nothing to get hold of so it's going to be difficult. I've got a bit of Plus Gas soaking action going on at the moment with may help, i hope. I'm a bit concerned at using extractor bits as I've sheared one before and it was devils own job to remove!
Can anyone recommend a good local vendor for Spark Erosion in the South East or London?

Thanks

Do you have a mig welder? If you weld a nut to them and quench they usually undo quite easily :)

Thanks for suggestions. After a think and a brew I was able to drill them out without too much drama. I was expecting the worst, it just didn't happen .
