Because there isn't really anything unserviced left in the cooling system, minus the pump itself.
I could sure feel a bit of heat coming off the radiator as it was moving.
Which i am sure the old stat was stuck, which after cleaning started working again. Only time will tell.

Re: New to me gt750a
Been a while.
Took the bike out today, for some miles. Fall weather in edmonton, so around 12 degrees Celsius.
Started good, ran good, lots of power.
Needle came up to the middle, a little over a little under.
I gave it a thrash in top gear, upto 90mph. Pulled great, temp needle went up to 3/4 mark, huh
Slowed down and cruised at 60, came down a little but not to the center mark.
I am beginning to think that i really need to measure the temp via a digital sensor, before i go crazy here.
I pulled over, pushed the vapor release, and nothing came out.
The only thing left to be replaced is the rad cap, and the temp gauge itself. I am thinking i should just replace the cap, since it is 50 years old, nothing visibly wrong with it.
May be this temp gauge is wonky. All i did was, that replaced a burnt out bulb

Way better than before the service. Used to be unrideable, red mark after 5 mins.
