Ignition permanently on!?

Post by Johnrd »

Hi, as the title suggests, my ignition has decided to stay permanently 'on' on my 75 Kettle. This means the neutral light is always on and I can start the bike without putting the key in!?
I'm assuming it's a problem with the ignition switch. If it is, how do I take the switch out?
If it isn't, has anybody come across this before... any ideas welcome.
Thanks for any help.

Sorted! Worked out how to get the ignition switch out, found a break in the cable with fused and corroded wires. :D

Excellent, hopefully will be an easy fix, just need to make sure can get the correct gauge wire and replace :D

Have seen some quite cheap pattern ignition switches, but some have had wires a bit too thin, so if need to replace the switch, double check it is ok to use.

Welcome to the forum

Thanks
