Hi all
Is anyone using a Ethomix Ethanol Corrosion Inhibitor Additive if so which one and do you think it’s working

My mate who drives for Texaco reckons early September they start delivering E10 beware but the good news is E5 will still be available Super Unleaded etc and will be clearly marked up at the pumps,he also reckons it will be available for some considerable time as they are taking into consideration that there are still a lot of us old farts still running classics

The gas in our old FZR400 is a few years, yes years, old and the bike still fires up and runs fine and that's E10.
The RZ350 runs on 100 octane just to keep it sweet and that also contains all sorts of nasty stuff but doesn't seem to go off. Well it gets harder to start after a while and it probably lost a few ponies but still runs fine.
Race gas is a different and has to be drained after each race weekend, but that's another story. That stuff is chemical soup.
That said, fuel without ethanol will always be a better idea for older bikes.
