Had problem with sticking clutch more recently. It's setup okay, the rod moves out fine, but plates stick after only a few days stood, and very difficult to break the bond whilst rocking bike in a gear.
I bought Halfords 20W/50 'classic' motor oil some time ago and this is it's 2nd oil change using this 5L tin. I noticed in small print on side of tin OIL CONTAINS SEAL SWELL ADDITIVES. This is news to me, and suddenly thought could this oil swell the cork parts in the clutch ? As far as I was concerned this is bog standard green multigrade mineral oil.
I will be trying a branded multigrade, but any thoughts on this would be interesting.

Make sure the basket has smooth edges and fit new clutch plates also make sure the metal plates are flat. Did you do the preset adjustment under the clutch cover. Welcome the forum. Cheers Barry.
