750K Badge infill

Hi Guys. I have hardly used my ‘K’ for the last couple of years. Cannot blame the weather as we all know how good last year was. However, with retirement looming in the next couple of years, I am keeping it in good order (currently hibernating in a Vac-bag) ready for use at my leisure. I currently have the tank off and have added a set of ‘A’ decals, as did not feel standard decals would suit the non-standard red paintwork. The ‘A’ decals did not fit the full distance along the bottom of the tank, so cut them short inline with the tank badge (Photo 1). I think it looks ok, but definitely an improvement over when there were no decals (Photo 2).
To tidy the tank up even more, I may need to reluctantly replace the near new badges, as both have lost some of the red infill as can be seen in the attached. This has vibrated out when running the bike. When you buy the badges, they come straight so you need to manipulate them to fit the tank curvature. This must locally break the infill bond, so guess I should have lacquered them before fixing.
As I know the badges will be well and truly fixed and I do not wish to run the risk of damaging the paintwork, does anyone know if there is a touch-up paint that matches the infill colour ?

Cheers Dazel.

Hi

Tamiya clear red X-27 is the stuff. Goes on well if you use a soft model hobby brush

off ebay or Amazon

I used the recommended Tamiya clear red X-27. Just gradually built up the thickness as advised. Was about three quid on Ebay.
Cheers.
