Man after my own heart there, carp fishing has been a massive part of my life too since 1986, still keen (otherwise known as stupid) even like you on a winters day! Hope you caught!

You both must be raving mad how do you keep warm Too cold and slippery and salty roads for motorcycling right now, so I've been cycling instead, I guess I must be raving mad too but at least it keeps me fit and warm
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

Yes Gary I did manage one fish, a little 7ish pound common. The pool is a notoriously hard one in my local club that holds fish of 40lb and above but they don’t give themselves up very often.
I’ve just returned to carp fishing after a 30 year break and I’m really enjoying it.

Dunno what all you loiterers (within tent) have to carp on about.
I do realise that it's a crucian(ally) a subject for fishists, but wtf?
Ancher owt better a subject to fish for comments on? No chips mentioned either.
Ida thought Steve W would have kicked in on a subject like this.....

Well done on the fish Paul, one winter fish is worth 4 summer ones I reckon! It's hard keeping warm but there's plenty of good kit around just like motorcycle kit if you ride the winter roads. A kettle and stove is a must though, a flask is just not enough to keep you in warm drinks at this time of year! Keep up the enthusiasm Paul and we'll done again! PS, good choice of biscuits jammy dodgers!PaulD738 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 8:36 pmYes Gary I did manage one fish, a little 7ish pound common.
