Up the creek?

Post by arthur »

Got the 380 up and running & MOT
but looking at Dating letters and v55/5 they seem to want both frame and engine numbers but although the frame number is clear the engine number/vin plate has gone walkabout SO AM I UP THE CREEK?
I'm sure many bikes & cars have had engine changes I know my old mini had (before the sub frame fell out!!!!

Sure the Vin number is the frame number Arthur engines are changed frequently so not sure if engine number is required :|

The engine number is stamped on the front engine mount casting. Are you sure you can't read it? Kev

UK bikes of that age don't have vin plates. The frame number should be stamped on the frame, vertically on the steering head. Engine number as Kev says, top front engine mount under the centre exhaust port (and hidden under the centre pipe).
