Bad advice.

Post by stevewharton »

Just seen a post on a Ducati forum where a guy was asking for advice about buying a kettle, a bike he's always fancied owning. Someone posted a reply which said kettles are renowned for overheating and (seazing) his spelling not mine, on the centre pot (think he's getting confused with the Kawasaki 750) Another post said he'd "borrowed" one from a mate in the 70's and after 2 days the chain had stretched so much, that it was jumping the sprockets??? what was he doing, setting a new world wheelie record? Obviously talking out of their backsides, the trouble is the guy asking for advice will probably not bother now and sadly, repeat what he's heard :x
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" :x they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

Pm him with kettle clinic details Steve, then he might get a less biased opinion.
Unless he wants a better triple and decides on a 550 of course.......
Ducati owners getting on about other makes not being reliable eh?
Who'da thunk it?!?! :)
Proof that four strokes are over complicated
