My sons down from Kilsyth this weekend and brought me a gift from my father in law. Think I might save it, for now.

Fetch it to the rally and I'll check it's ok for you. Wouldn't wish you to get poorly supping whisky that had gone 'off'.

Hi Mizzy, what you need is a professional whisky tester with almost 50 years experience, like me, to check that your new bottle of Jura single malt is ready for drinking. Jura has been known to make people ill the next morning and I wouldn't want you to become poorly without giving me the chance to check that it's okay first
Don't let that Alan near it because he's probably never tasted anything as nice as Jura (unless someone bought it for him) and if he ever has bought whisky it'll be Lidl's own brand blended muck.
So bring it to the rally, keep it away from Alan and leave it to the professional
Cheers, Steve

Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

If somebody has something as nice as Jura that needs testing, then I'm definitely a "professional"

Or just give to me and I’ll flush it down the loo thereby cutting the middle man out. Nobody gets poorly, result!stevewharton wrote:Jura has been known to make people ill the next morning and I wouldn't want you to become poorly without giving me the chance to check that it's okay first

Alan and Steve,
If you think I’m going to fall for that old chestnut you’ve got no chance. and as for it going down the loo, well, it will eventually but by an indirect route.
The top is firmly screwed on until a special occasion comes along like Alan getting the first round in or Paul using his bike more than once a year.
Could remain unopened for years.
