CAUSES OF KETTLE NOT CHARGING IN ORDER OF PROBABILITY
(One easy way to test charging is to put headlamp on, it should go about 20% brighter at 3000 rpm)
Rotor open circuit - should read 5-15 ohms or bleep on a multimeter
Break in one of the wires from the alternator under the engine
Rectifier needs perfect earth, powder coat can insulate it scrape it off!
Brushes worn out or rusted in giving no movement
Rectifier faulty, check by replacement
Regulator faulty, check by replacement
Bad connections on plugs on power board (or tabs pushed in)
Connections to stator (Outer coils) fitted incorrectly (Can course fuse to blow)
Always remember you can have two causes at once to add confusion
