Re: gt550 dropping on to two
Went out on the 550 on thursday and it ran like a bag of poo, spluttering at all revs, no ticking over etc. Anyway, got to the garage & filled up - no difference, so went back home & sulked it back in the garage.
Had a look today and whipped plugs out. A bit black - hmmmmm.
Checked carbs and choke hadn't gone completely off, sprayed some lube on and with the correct swear words applied, the choke worked fine. New plugs in and sounded lovely so 'nipped' around the block (about 3 miles!) and ran lovely.
A bit of clutch slip with 'beans' applied, so hopefully just adjustment needed.

Alan, you should get yourself a proper bike, a kettle that is, those 550 cheap copies'll never catch onAlan H wrote:Went out on the 550 on thursday and it ran like a bag of poo, spluttering at all revs, no ticking over etc. Anyway, got to the garage & filled up - no difference, so went back home & sulked it back in the garage.
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

I've got one and it's cost me a damn sight more than any 3 of my 550s.stevewharton wrote: Alan, you should get yourself a proper bike, a kettle that is, those 550 cheap copies'll never catch on
