fuel pipe size

just ordered new fuel pipe as the old one is rock solid but it seems a bit small , what is the correct inner size, here is a pic of old and new take into account the old one is very old,John

You dont say which bike but GT550 is ID 5mm 8.2mm OD

The smaller pipe looks very much like the vacuum pipe for the diaphragm in proportion

For later 550's with linked carbs the single pipe is 7mm x 10.2mm

SuzyTwo has most of the sizes in stock. Ans his descriptions also include which models and years they are correct for.

got one from dean at suzy2 (just said gt550) but the pipe is for j,k models 5mm which is fine for the vacuum, so 7mm it is thanks for that,John

That's cos there's a separate pipe to each carb on the J & K models, so t'aint as gret as the linked carb models with a single carb feed.
