This is how it should look John. Are you measuring from the correct side ?

And the gap should only be 1mm, see pic from the Suzuki carb manual.

no measuring from the other side !! :oops: but done now with 1mm drill bit.
are they for sale Paul ?

They are going on my own bike at some point John, so not selling these. Hope your bike starts and runs now. You will know the carbs inside out by the time you have finished. I certainly do with mine !

well it didn't start so i kicked it where it hurts and called it a day, more tomorrow if the rain carries on,John

Just to confirm the cable adjuster under the throttle grip is fully wound out and there are no twists in the cable run?

just an update i'd kicked it over so many times the plugs were wet,put some nice clean plugs in and it started up first kick and is running lovely now thanks for all the help & advice

Iridium plugs John, well worth the money, fitted mine about 4 years ago and it's not missed a beat since, starts better, runs better and never needs any attention :D
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" :x they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

might give them a try i've had them saved on me watch list for a while, but what are the correct ones some of them have different numbers after them ? 6684/5044 John
