Oil Pump Info

Post by turtle »

G'day Blokes and Blokettes,

Just wanted to say g'day and intro myself. I am from Brisbane Australia, I have quite a stable of waterbus and assosiated / disassociated motorcycles.

I have a question... I have an L model with an oil pump issue. I opened it up to find a broken part inside.
Not to be outdone, went to my vast collection of engines and removed a pump off that and thought I would open it up and clean / check the internals.

Hmmmm, slightly different internals. Turns out it comes from a '77 B model.

Can I use this '77 model pump on a '74 model engine?
Warm Regards
Turtle
