Is there a go to spares supplier

Post by Numbereight »

Can you tell me if there is a “go to” parts supplier for old Suzuki’s. I have a GT550 and it looks like I’ll be wanting a battery, speedo and tachometer cable.
If I need parts for my BMW’s Motorworks can supply virtually anything.
Does anything like that exist for Suzuki or any good recommendations. Thanks.

Hi
Depends where in the world that you live? If you live here in the UK Baz on the forum has loads of Nos and other parts send him a pm. Ebay can be your friend too.
Then there is https://www.robinsonsfoundry.co.uk/shop ... finder.htm
Then there is http://www.abermoto.co.uk/
There are others too, that should get you started.
One other thing. IMHO its best to go NOS on cables as afternarket are not much good
Again its a personal choice but the best battery to fit is a Motobatt :D

Might be worth mentioning that you're a member of the kettle clinic, especially with Crooks and Robinsons, who may give a10% discount :D
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" :x they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

Although his parts needed (some) may be NLA from Suzuki, never underestimate checking the appropriate parts Fische from Suzuki for availability. If not available, it gives you an additional tool with the factory part # to search. I buy from many places across the world for my 2 strokes but also want to help support my local mc business. They (Local dealership) let me buy parts at cost too and they love it when you place an order with the part #’s needed.
