I'm sat in my caravan at present. Using 4G its slightly slow, thinks for a few seconds then off it goes. I'm 2 miles from Scarborough and can hear the bikes racing round Oliver's Mount in the Barry Sheene Classic. Just been a shower so it will be slippery on the Mount. Wish I was watching it. Limited advance tickets only.

Chances of that happening are nil.
Anyway, don't do firepox or whatever.

That's a great bit of footage there Barney. I can almost smell the two stoke fumes.

Noticed that we were getting a lot of pages being scanned by "petalbot" which turned out to be a bot from China, who unsurprisingly did not honour entries in a file "robots.txt" asking not to be scanned
There was about 50,000 pages accessed in the last few days by this one bot

Hopefully sorted it for a while :)

Be interesting to see if things speed up a bit for those who were getting delays or slow responses.

I also will install another forum update shortly, be about 1 hour outage.

Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian, just to let you know, I'm still often experiencing a slow/very slow response when trying to navigate around the forum on my android phone and sometimes it completely "sticks" and won't move at all and I have to close the page.
Not complaining, just thought you'd be interested in the feedback, anyone else?
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" :x they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

If you are still having slow response

There is an option at the bottom of the forum page saying "delete cookies"
Select this

Depending on the browser you use, clear the browser cache.
Some have reported Edge browser very slow, Chrome works very well, firefox, some reported initially slow, but sped up after a clearing cache.

Using Chrome on my mobile with 4G it flies
I use firefox on my desktop, working well

Thanks
Ian
