GT 750 OIL TANK CAP

Post by TwostrokeStu »

Hi everyone hope you are all keeping safe, just wanted to know if the oil tank filler cap on my 76 GT750 should have a breather hole in it or not, I put one in mine due to the tank was being sucked in so thought it should have one.
thanks in advance.

Hi
The cap should have a diaphragm inside the lid. You are right if there is no hole the tank will implode. The oil pump is very capable of collapsing the tank.
