Hi all,
I have just joined and thought I would introduce myself and see if anyone remembers me from the 70’s.
Started on a GT 380 and progressed to two GT 750’s.
Was in Corby and Kettering mc and leicester Phoenix Mc in 70’s so anyone out there who was in either or met us at rallies?
Have a barn find Gt550 from Austria which is a bit of a rat bike at the moment.
I am Dave Scattergood and live near Oakham Rutland.

Welcome to the forum Dave. There are a lot of GT550 owners on here so you should get any help you might need. Kev

Welcome in Dave.
I see you have excellent taste in Suzukis as the GT550 is the best of them - and yes I do have a couple - plus lots of spares!!

Only in your opinion mate
I think the kettle's the best, but you don't hear me constantly banging on about it do ya?
And this is the "KETTLE" Clinic.......Thanose!
And some prefer the 380, or the 500, or the Katana or the RE5, etc, etc, and you don't hear them banging on either
Opinionated Yorkies, don'tya just luv em
No guessed not
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

Trouble with yours is feeding it as it's always near a chippy.

Only the best chippies though, serving Grimsby's finest haddock
P.S. just to make it clear, I'm a kettle man through and through, but I wouldn't kick a nice 550 or 500 out my garage, nor would I disrespect anyone elses bike, unlike someone on here

Welcome aboard Dave. I was a member of Grange Farm MCC in the 80's / 90's and attended a few Big End rallies.........
Can't say your name rings a bell though.
