I was going to machine a recess and started with just sticking them on and actually they look so unobtrusive that I have left them stuck on for now. Might change that after the run in and strip down for paint.....

Rear ones are also pretty small and use the same cascading patern.
Honest baby....this is probably the cheapest bike I have ever bought!!

Interesting pipe. Looks good and probably sounds great.

I would have gone with a merge collector with all three pipes as tight as possible, but it probably wouldn't make a lot of difference. I have two GT750s with 3 into 1 pipes. One is Strader and the other is Jemco also sold as Omar's torque cannon. They don't make as much power as 3:3 pipes but they sound so much better.

When do we get to hear it rip on a dyno?

We think the collector that we have made is better than the Strader 3-1 collector that I have.
The chamber design is more efficient than the Strader too (in theory).
If not - it's the computer programmes fault !

Still a heap of bits to do before it gets it's dyno time - but hopefully not long now.

All 3-1 systems are a compromise - I will happily trade top end power for low / mid-range enhancement for this project.

Acceleration + lightness is the way on. How do ski doos go exhaust wise? + the weight factor of course.

Nice look!

I used to run a 3-1 on my old GT380. Scared the s**t out of the neighbors and sounded great but it did knacker what little power there was.

I've spend the last week battling with my 3-3 exhaust design with some help from a knowledgeable friend (these things really are Voodoo), so that is my next step as well now that it kinda runs.

Can't wait to get to a meet and make some real noise (sorry went all 17 again there).

Gary

Who did your exhausts?

I've got to develop some tapered headers and one option is to slice it up like you did. Nice work...
