bars leaks ,worked on mine after engine rebuild was sceptical at first as it was atotal rebuild all new gaskets seals etc and still leaked ,advice from here to bars leaks and no water worries now for three years

I had some +1mm L barrels on the Hippo after the full rebuild, and the head gasket blew twice before Baz & I found out the barrels had been decked. 1mm off the bottom gave 150psi static compression. The engine was difficult to start (hard to turn over) and vibrated badly over 5k rpm. Ended up with a +1mm set of A barrels and comp down to 120psi as normal, so check before you run it!!

120psi is really low. Mine used to be 165 until I raised the exhaust ports some more and they came down to 155 which still works well.
