Any ideas
Before I pull it all apart

It seems I have given you duff information
apparently the sealing washers or dowty washers to give them their correct name are to keep rain water from getting to the studs and seizing them rather than coolant getting out.
A “kind” forum member sent me a helpful pm putting me right. I shall refrain from helping people from now on :?
They're rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!

That's OK Paul
Got head off and there's a crack in the
Stud hole in to the water jacket.
Going to get it sleeved from the bottom.

Well fed up off
