Finally got around to lacing the GT380B front wheel. Even with the videos I managed to lace the inners wrongly, twice (two different patterns which looked fine but did not allow the outers to drop to the rim anywhere sensible).
Not begin truing but have a spare axle & if not a Workmate, a pair of axle stands will be fine.
Cheers for the guidance - it’s a great feeling even getting this far. Mr Wylde did actually send me the correct spokes
(Annoyingly my phone won’t allow me to attach a picture?...but a tablet does!)

It is mind bending when you do these for the first time. I still have to look at another wheel as a pattern

That’s what I did Kev, I took some photos of both wheels before I cut them out.canaletto5 wrote:It is mind bending when you do these for the first time. I still have to look at another wheel as a pattern

I've got a set here to do for myself at the moment, I'm just gonna leave them in pieces 'till we're completely shut down

Re: Wheel building & axle stand?
In my case I had a bit of an excuse, in my that front wheel on my 380 wasn’t a genuine 380 wheel. The lacing pattern is completely different. However, I’d taken pics of the 550B wheels before selling it & that proved very helpful.
