Wanted T500 clutch basket bush/spacer

Post by PaulD738 »

I’m hopefully converting my clutch using a nova needle roller bearing. I’m going to bore the clutch basket Center out to take the needle roller but to save stripping my own clutch I need the bush part number 09180-22002
Anyone got one for sale please?
TIA Paul

Best of luck machining that.
It'll be as hard as a hard thing on a frosty night and will need surface grinding at least.
Why not just buy a proper one?
Proof that four strokes are over complicated

Well I’m not machining the bush ya burk
The clutch basket has a bronze bush with a steel outer pressed in. I’ve bored that out on my milling machine cos it’s too big to go in my lathe  I’ve now got to bore the center out for an interference fit to take the needle roller bearing. The new bush then fits inside the bearing and the whole thing slides onto the gearbox layshaft and et voila no more clutch rattle. Pics to follow for the hard of thinking
Thanks for the link Richard but at the moment the bush isn’t available so I’m still on the hunt for the bush
