Stick with points & condenser, my T500 and Kettle (before I sold it) have them fitted and both start first kick and run perfectly. At least with points you can get home if you've a problem where as with electronic ignition if it breaks yer in trouble.
Plus they are in such a low state of tune there is no difference in performance.
They're rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!
A quote from my old dad 8-)

I started out with nothing and I’ve got most of it left!

Electronic ignition is a nice upgrade for a T500. Accent simply replaces the old points with a modern reliable switching arrangement which is a huge improvement on every level.

An even nicer upgrade is a crank mounted modern ignition that generates power for the lights and contains a self energizing ignition. That's what Suzuki did with the GT500 ignition and it's similar to the systems fitted to RD and RZ250/350s, late model RD250/400s and most street and snow two strokes manufactured since the late seventies.

Check out Electrexworld or HPI.be as a well as RSS and Vape who make the old MZB system also known as Powerdynamo.

I did actually revert my kettles back to points and condensers due to the reasons given above and I agree with you %100.
However my T500 s points backing plate was so badly screwed up that I decided to go with Rex s system after I called his workshop on the phone .
I remember it costing a small fortune and thats one of the reasons its staying on ,
And given the fact that i never ride it anywhere it doesnt really matter whats inside. that two reasons.
