hi, all peeps.
I've just obtained a 1973 GT550K, US import, just sent off doc for reg.
I had 1 back in the day, for about 4.5yrs.(same colour as well, hermosa blue)....
I joined, hoping to obtain so info, as, in the early days of biking, never took them apart.
I wont be doing a total nut and bolt on this 1, at the moment LOL, just checking the main things to make it go and safe to ride.
getting missing parts, plus putting right, the bodge ups.
I have done 2 nut and bolt restoration , a XS yam, and a Z kaw.
cheers graham

Hi Graham, welcome to the asylum.
I resto'ed a 550k a few years ago, and currently have 3 x 550s in the garage, 2 of which have been restored and one having a few 'bits' sorted. A J, an A and a B.
Lovely bikes.
