My original roller balls were very badly worn out so I replaced them with tapered roller bearings and adjusted them very recently.

An update on my bounce as I said I would, after changing head bearings and fitting new tube, which allowed correct fitting of tyre, the bike is no longer trying to kill me, the bounce has gone and it rides nice now don't think the tyre had anything to do with the bounce, as it was only a little off, had worse on other bikes, think it was the head bearings causing the trouble.

Interesting, The bearing must have been well loose to be bouncing about like that.
