Tyres question
Finally got round to fitting a new pair of roadrunners on my kettle last night , my only problem is that I can't seem to get the tyre showing equally around the rim , no matter how I try there is always a small section on both sides that just looks like it wants to be pushed out a little more , I've soaped the tyres well and over inflated them to around 45 psi but I just can't get an equal bead ? Is there a simple solution to this ? And if I leave them as they are just now will it be an mot fail ? I'm not going to be riding the bike at the moment , I just need to get it mot'ed so I can get the age related number sorted out

Re: Tyres question
I think you may have to deflate the tyre /break the bead and try again ,just a thought

Re: Tyres question
Could try letting the pressures right down very low and riding a short distance very carefully and slowly, might help to seat the beads? Must stress that this is just a "suggestion" and to think carefully about trying it
and remember that it will affect the handling and braking.

Re: Tyres question
I had that problem with my front tyre a while back with Avon's had to put about 80psi into it before it popped on to the bead properly.
