Looking to unsorn Izzy at month end, so I suppose she'll need a polish somewhat. I do run the bikes occasionally through winter, so starting then shouldn't be a problem anyway. Two weeks today then. Weather permitting of course....
In the meantime 3 x GT550s are running, although naughty Anna needs a fettle.
And now for summat completely diff'rent....

Got FAB out of hibernation last week and after a serious amount of cleaning, ally polishing, fettling, and oil changing, she was ready to go again.
Not been started since December (has been turned over though ) but, kickstart only from cold and she started on the 3rd kick (love those iridium spark plugs).
No salt on the roads and dry for a change, so off down the east coast for a ride to Mablethorpe. Ran like a dream and reminded me why I still own FAB after 37 years and 162,000 miles.

Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

Hopefully the weather will start to be kind(er) now Steve, so we can all start to get out somewhat.

Weather forecast for Yorkshire and Lincolnshire predicts we're back to winter (again ) this w'end, so perhaps we'll have to wait a bit longer, maybe after the clocks go forward

Izzy is up to 4000 miles after just about 2 years with me. So not getting used enough to justify keeping unfortunately.
It's a bike that I look at and think 'It's getting sold', until I get on and ride it, as the performance is good, handling and braking are bloody good, and generally it's a great bike. I just don't use it enough, so called in Viamoto yesterday & asked questions about selling.
It'll give me room in the garage to progress with Emma, but using bikes less & less, plus it appears the arse has dropped out of the classic market. Ho hum......

Yes Alan the market has dropped over the last couple of years,
But over the last few months it’s completely fallen flat,I seen a beautiful Kawasaki Z1 the other day advertised for £6.700.
They were fetching £16-18 grand,British bikes even worse,

It will only get worse as supply exceeds the demand. Unfortunately the demanders are getting to an age where stiff backs, failing eyesight and NHS titanium knees will no longer swing high enough to get over the seat
Most 70’s generation riders will now be mid 60’s and beyond so more likely to be selling than buying. Whilst we have the money to spend, the body doesn’t want to write the cheque in a lot of cases.
Fast Fords are the must have now.

True Alan. Just putting my bike back in the Vac bag until spring. Trouble is breaking a perfectly good bike for its parts is a considered option now
