So the ongoing saga of leaking banjo's continues,
despite buying a new set of nylon washers ,drying the bolt threads and the threads in the cylinder /crank cases(with cotton buds .
refitting with a dot of thread seal and tightening with a T spanner /8 mm socket I went for a 10 mile test run and
lo and behold the banjo's have loosened she is now sitting on the bench marking her territory like a old Triumph
What am I doing wrong?

Hi Arthur thread lock needs replacing as it shouldn't vibrate loose. I usually leave it to set overnight. I also use soft aluminium gaskets too. Good luck

Humm, that may be the answer I will give it a go.
I'm pretty sure the lines are oil tight I did the syringe of oil test to pressurise them and it went well
SO Off to the DIY shop tomorrow
Barney Again I am in your debt

Re: GT380 oil line banjo bolt leaks
So I chucked the old thread lock in the bin ,
bought a new bottle just short of eight quid so with 6 bolts to fix in that's around £1.33 per drop BETTER BLOODY WORK THIS TIME
On the upside I'm getting good at taking it apart and sticking it back together, next job fork seals & pads

Still LEAKING!
All the bolts took a small "nip" up back to tight despite loctite ,I can only think the washers are to blame maybe they are so hard they don't deform and seal.
I might try sticking them in boiling water to see of they soften with heat .

Sticking them in boiling water did not help,
Although the tooth test" well biting them to assess the hardness" shows there is a difference between the OE ones and the replacements
Also the new ones are thicker ,I think maybe that two new ones on the bolt don't leave enough thread protruding to get a good seating,
This could be rubbish but it keeps me amused

Re: GT380 oil line banjo bolt leaks
So all back together AGAIN!
Trying fibre washers this time only 40p for a packet of 20 from DIY shop.
even if they don't work I haven't spent to much, they are the same thickness as the OE ones so should give more free thread to tighten into the crank cases.
First impressions are good I pulled the plugs stuck her in top and rotated the rear wheel for a while NO LEAKS! then fired her up and ran her on the bench for a bit again no leaks.
Time will tell if it is cured only a hoon out will see if I have cracked it this time
