making my GT550 baffles
Question for the group. I am making my upper(large) and lower (small) exhaust baffles. I have the specs for the size, hole placement, etc. My question is - what does the internal restriction plate look like? I assume the internal plate reduces or blocks exhaust from just flowing down the baffle and out the end. Is the internal plate fully blocking the exhaust (so it goes out the holes, around, and back into the holes at the end of baffle), or does it have a hole so only some of the exhaust flow out and around, and some flows straight down the middle of the baffle? Trying to figure out what to weld into the baffle.

Re: making my GT550 baffles
If I remember correctly, only one set of baffles have an internal plate, which I thought a bit odd. In fact it seemed odd that there was a plate at all. I was expecting the removable baffle to be hollow. I can't remember if it was the inner or the outer that were blocked off part way down.

Thanks barny01 - but I am talking about the baffles that go inside of the exhaust pipe. If anyone has an set, can you tell me how far in the blocking plate is? I have heard only the larger baffle has a blocking plate, but would like to confirm that as it would not make since to have it hollow.
