What a mucky old engine. Fastened in the car boot so it can't escape.

And a few days later, after a bath.

Now I can get the head and barrels off and blinged up, plus all the little nooks and crannies that aqua blasting can't get to, sorted.
Then the build up can start proper. More pics soon.
I wonder if I can get some SS cylinder base and head nuts?
Maybe a set of SS crankcase bolts instead of those 'S' bolts fitted at present and some nice button head side cover studs too.

WooOOooo!! Shineeeeeee!!!!!!!

Alan,

Nice :-)

Try these SS nuts which have the correct reduced hex (14mm AF).

I also got SS spring and correct plain washers from his site. Really cheap vs OE Suzuki!

Cheers,
Mike

Just ordered 100 from https://www.westfieldfasteners.co.uk/ for £25 all in.
That'll do for the A, replace the ones on the K, and the J when I get around to that, plus some spares for when I drop the box and the little gits all roll down the grate!!
I think they're full size hex, but so long as the threads are OK, I care not!

Top end and barrels off, pistons to remove and make pretty.
Might hone the bores too.
Lots still to do anyway.
