Good evening! just a note to say hi to all you lot. Joined a while ago but lost username and password doh! I finally got around to sorting that tonight.
Have a Drixton 500 Honda, a Bultaco Sherpa 350T, and play / fiddle with a couple of very nice Manx Nortons, and an immaculate TR2 350 Yamaha (my bro's bikes). Briefly raced a close to stock GS1000S many many years ago.
Now planning to build a TR750 replica. Will be slow as I do have a kinda of all-consuming day job but am planning to retire soon-ish - have just started the long process of gathering up all the right the bits.
Aim is to build a bike that looks as close to a Tepi Lansavouri bike as sensible money will permit - my first shot at a cost estimate is 12k... (That's another reason why it will take time!)
Looking forward to some interesting discussions and conversations.

Welcome to the asylum. What part of the country are you in?

Re: Newbie
Hi all - its been a while...
Sorry for no posts since my first and only one. Been kinda busy. I finally retired end of May '19, and started building the bike June '19.
I've included a couple of pics. Hopefully they are of interest. I have maybe 200 snaps taken as I progressed.
Having backed off the effort for a handful of months (all the events I'd planned to go to were cancelled).
I finally started it on 2 Dec. and amazingly had no problems...at all, it ran quite nicely, was very surprised!
Will trim the 1st start vid. down to a sensible size and post in the next day or two.
regards
