My dream come true

Post by Kijmpe »

Hi everybody.
My name is Kijmpe, I live in the Netherlands and I recently purchased one of my all-time favourite motorbikes, a 1972 J-model GT 750.
It is a genuine Dutch registered bike in reasonble condition and 95% complete.
Unfortunately the previous owner has started a restauration of thew bike without having the skills to do so.
He kind of screwed up the engine.
I decided to strip the engine, do a full overhaul and make it as new as possible.
This is how I bought the bike

Hey PaulD738,

hope you are right.
Been planning on using it as my roadbike and not leaving it in the garage as furniture.

It is in need of some TLC though...

Along with your opinions eh Paul
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" :x they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

Working hard to make that dream come true but it is challenging for sure!
