Hello

Post by Bikenbass »

Hello everyone.
I'm Mark, new member here and reside near Feltwell, Norfolk, UK.
I'm too old to know better, so I'm reliving my youth via a GT250 A, needs a bit of work, but I love it.
I passed my test in November 1977 on a borrowed GT250 in Ruislip, Middx.
Amazingly, I passed first time. This was in the era of going around the block with the examiner watching from the pavement.
I was going to buy the GT from my friend, it was stolen the day before I was to pay him, never to be seen again.
Still loving the ring a ding ding of that sweet engine, hence my bike.
Best wishes to one and all for a safe and enjoyable Summer.

Hello Mark, welcome to the madhouse ;) you're not too far from me in Grimsby, and not too far from where we're having our rally in June. So why don't you join us for a day or two and see what you're missing  just search for "2022 rally" for all the info :D
Look, my paintwork hasn't got "Fish scales" :x they're "Dragon scales" right!!! However, after some thought, I will accept "Black Marlin" or "Swordfish", but definitely not "Haddock" or "Cod".

Don't listen to him Mark, he seems to forget that this is the "KETTLE" clinic  although with all the problems that he has with his bikes, it's lucky for him that we've a 550 section

Welcome Mark, Alan is the forum joker who knows nothing so don’t listen to him. If you want a real triple you want a Kawasaki H1 triple 8-)
They're rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!
A quote from my old dad 8-)

I started out with nothing and I’ve got most of it left!
