And there goes another tale!
Those Schreiber units were fitted (by me) in our kitchen 34 years ago and certainly weren't cheap - but very good quality plus they were on 'offer' too (natch!!)
Anyway Lynn fancied replacing them so, as they were still in decent condition, I took them out carefully last year and repurposed them in the laundry room and the entire right side of the garage.
Just another 5 minute job.....
None wasted and will probably do another 20 years! The next owner will have fun with them!
Just need to slowly use up/sell the contents now, as I don't intend doing another bike.
Now where have I heard that before......... :?

 well I thought it can’t be that hard let’s rub down the front grill for painting, so I cleaned it and rubbed it down for a couple of hours , washed it down again to get rid of any dirt , looked nice an clean , primed the inside that was fine , turned it over after 15mins to dry , sprayed the front side left it for a bit , then bits of it started to bubble up , grrrrrr wtf how it was really clean, so now will have to rub it down again grrrrrrr
