A buddy of mine has a GT550 and he has two Kokusan staters. One has destroyed the gear end of the armature shaft and the other has broken internal wiring connections. I have a supply of GT750 Denso starters but the end cap and wiring on the brush holders is different to make then run backwards.
So I have to either find a new Kokusan armature cheaply or find a good replacement Denso starter. Slim pickings on ebay for 550 bits. IF there was a similar armature that would work in his Kokusan that might work. I see that there are lots of GS starters which fit the GT750 but don't have a cross reference to a 550 style.
Anyone know what else would fit?
