Suzuki gt750A

Post by Raytuckgt »

Hello guys,
I've not been on for a good while due to unforeseen circumstances but anyway,
I've got my gt750A out for a spin and the fault I'm told is my solenoid is faulty so are there any good recommendations I can buy one from?
Cheers Ray.

Hi Al, I sent for the solenoid you suggested but only got a reply late this afternoon that they can't supply so do you recommend any other supplier regards Ray?

If the pillock advertises that they have some, then reneges, it's hardly my fault.
Now where's the smilies I need?

It's just a starter relay. Get one from almost any bike on the market. The one on my Ducati is the same as the one on my GT750. Just avoid late model designs which are a bit more complicated to wire up and are fused. Any simple solenoid will do the job. Your local auto parts store may have something suitable. On second thoughts, if that's Halfords, that last suggestion may not apply. :o

BTW, have you tested the solenoid off the bike to be sure it's actually the problem and not a bad contact in the button or a broken wire?
