GT750 J Tach Problems

Post by Jdotpdot84 »

I have a 72 GT750 that just underwent a complete restoration.

However, my tach has stopped working. I was riding and it slowly dropped to 0.

I pulled the cable out from behind the tach and it was spinning so I put it back in and it worked. Then a few minutes later it went out again and has been intermittent at best since.

I again pulled the cable our and it wasn't spinning. I'm going to get with the shop that did it, but wanted to see what else to check as I wasn't sure if there was perhaps a quick fix or something simple I overlooked.

Don't think it's the tach! It should work or not!! .. sounds like the drive cable, or drive in the engine..
