The eastern half of Montana is quite flat, but the western half is a completely different place. The topography slowly goes from the flat prarie lands of the east into the foothill areas in west central Montana and finally into the mountainous western region, especially Glacier National Park.
Next summer I'm organizing a ride with some friends to go through there, then pop out on the Canadian side, then do an extended tour of British Columbia, it should be an epic ride with the route I've chosen.
In Glacier National Park everyone wants to ride or drive 'Highway to the Sun' its got very scenic views around every corner. Here are a few photos taken in the park area, the last one is a typical view from a section of Highway to the Sun.
