FZ1 Front suspension mod on a GT750
FZ1 Front suspension mod on a GT750
Today I added a 2001 FZ1 front end on my GT750. It fit fairly well with only slight modifications. The neck on the FZ1 is 5/16 longer then the stock GT750. Simply flip the race upside down on the FZ1 Stem and add the races from the GT750. The GT750 Races will need to be put in a lathe and opened up to fit the thicker stem. The top race and ball bearings fit perfectly with no modifications. I like the risers so i went with this set up. This bike is going to be a Suzuki Motorcross world champion tribute. All i have left is pipes, wiring and carbs. After i get it running i will dissasemble and paint. Thanks for letting me brag on this site!

Looks great, My boss has a buel lightning and i just noticed today how cool that headlight and numberplate setup would look on one of these. Oh well, maybe next one, When i find time also! 1 day a week is enough fun for me, anticipation is next best thing next to building it.

Bike is complete. I made the pipes and they work well. 38mm carbs, fox shocks, my mid life crisis is complete. Rode it last night for the first time and checked the plugs, i still have some jetting to do. I am down to 185 mains. If anyone is intrested in the entire build i have it documented on my facebook group page chop what ya got. feel free to join and post your rides in there as well
